Job Roles And Responsibilities Lead and oversee engineering design and analysis for MEP building systems Complete project research, code analysis, calculations, and design documentation Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards Review and perform QA/QC on plans, reports, calculations, and drawings Sign and seal drawings when required Evaluate constructability and cost effectiveness to meet client requirements Coordinate designs with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to avoid conflicts Respond to client comments, authority review comments, RFIs, and contractor change requests Provide oversight, direction, and mentoring to junior engineers and designers Assign tasks and review completed work for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency Support proposal development by providing technical input on scope and scheduling Track project progress and task completion to support workflow planning and budget management Identify scope changes and assist with documentation for scope revision requests Qualifications And Certifications Strong experience in MEP engineering design and project leadership In-depth knowledge of building systems design and engineering analysis Familiarity with local building codes and authority requirements Ability to perform QA/QC reviews and technical documentation Experience with construction administration and project coordination Strong leadership and mentoring skills for guiding junior engineers and designers Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Effective time management and budget control skills Professional Engineering license preferred for signing and sealing drawings
