What You'll Contribute We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Microsoft M365 Engineer with deep expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Copilot, and Power Platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting M365 solutions that drive business productivity and collaboration across our organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both Microsoft M365 and Entra/Azure environments and management tools. Additionally, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues is essential for success in this position. Candidate Profile Required Education and Experience An undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science discipline is required. Alternatively, candidates may substitute at least five years of work experience in an M365 engineering role in lieu of a degree. Information technology experience must include the following: Providing operational support and configuration management of M365 Cloud platforms such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Power Platform Online, ensuring seamless communication and high availability across all connected services and platforms. Scripting experience with a focus on automating the management of M365 services. Experience designing, testing, and implementing configuration, compliance, and other M365 policies within Entra/Azure environments. A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance features. Preferred Demonstrated experience deploying state-of-the-art M365 capabilities into a large, geographically distributed environment. Core Work Activities Provide support, oversight, governance, and tactical direction necessary to enable the delivery of M365 services. Participate in the On-Call support rotation for night and weekend production support. Offer significant input to the overall M365 architecture and operational governance model. Research, design, and implement components that are standards-based, high performing, highly available, and secure to deliver the required business functionality. Provide operational guidance to the enterprise on Exchange, SharePoint, and Power Platform Online. Assess the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Utilize capability modeling to align system strategy and planning with business strategy and goals. Consult with project teams to determine when services must be modified to accommodate project needs. Implement and promote standard configuration and change management processes and practices. Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for assigned projects. Assign work and provide mentorship to a team of M365 engineers, following industry established best practices. Monitor system performance, security, and compliance, and implement best practices and proactive improvements.
