The Registration Services Branch at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Motor Vehicle Technician (SMVT) to join our team. In this pivotal role, the SMVT handles complex registration and titling applications for customers over the phone and through digital and paper channels, utilizing analytical skills to accurately assess and process documents. Responsibilities include: collaborating with management to address workload issues; crafting professional correspondence in response to inquiries; and serving as a knowledgeable resource for both staff and management. Knowledge of Vehicle Registration and Titling required. Under the direction of a team leader, the Senior Motor Vehicle Technician (SMVT)performs advanced technical duties related to vehicle registration and titling. The SMVT handles the most complex vehicle registration issues and serves as a subject matter expert for all registration and titling processes. The SMVT ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, analyzes and resolves registration challenges, and provides high-quality customer service over the phone and digital channels. This is not a telework position. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eight-hour schedule will be assigned based on unit operational needs.
