The Role WSP is seeking a Senior Packaging & Material Handling Systems Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of packaging and material handling systems for industrial facilities. This role is ideal for an engineer who has a solid technical foundation and is ready to take ownership of project tasks while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This role is open to candidates based in our Meridian, ID; Madison, WI; Plover, WI; or Minneapolis, MN offices. Key Responsibilities Support the design and development of packaging and material handling systems, including evaluation of existing client configurations, equipment layouts, conveyor configurations, and operational efficiency design. Leverage new technologies in automation and philosophies in manufacturing. Develop and review physical building layout drawings, equipment and system drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, and bid and construction packages. Assist with equipment specifications, RFPs, mass balances, and technical calculations. Create, coordinate and review CAD deliverables, ensuring alignment with WSP and client standards. Support vendor coordination and equipment selection activities. Work closely with project managers and senior engineers to deliver work within budget and schedule.
