Job Description
Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN Position Type: Contract Experience Required: 12+ Years Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in multiple automation testing tools and frameworks including WinRunner, QTP/UFT, Silk Test, Selenium, Playwright, TestComplete, and Automation Framework Development. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing scalable automation solutions, improving testing efficiency, and supporting enterprise-level applications across complex environments. Required Skills 12+ years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation framework development Experience with TestComplete, WinRunner, QTP/UFT, and Silk Test Strong knowledge of Automation Frameworks including Hybrid, Data-Driven, and Keyword-Driven Frameworks Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, UI, and End-to-End Testing Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, or Quality Center Strong scripting/programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and TestComplete Develop automated test scripts for web, desktop, and enterprise applications Execute smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation testing Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and develop test strategies Maintain and enhance existing automation suites for better coverage and stability Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing Analyze test results, identify defects, and coordinate defect resolution activities Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA review meetings Mentor junior automation engineers and establish QA best practices Ensure quality deliverables within project timelines Preferred Qualifications Experience with API Automation and tools like Postman or REST Assured Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus Exposure to cloud-based testing environments Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments preferred Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
