About the Opportunity :The Senior Software Engineer, DevOps/Infrastructure plays a critical role in setting the technical direction for engineering teams by developing and maintaining the core infrastructure that supports all product verticals. This position focuses on evolving the control plane and platform engineering tools that enable feature teams to deploy and operate quickly and securely. The role contributes by creating reusable infrastructure components, improving operational reliability, and reducing process overhead, thereby enabling smoother software delivery and infrastructure management across the organization . Responsibilitie s:• Lead the technical development and evolution of the control plane infrastructur e.• Design and deliver platform primitives such as Terraform modules, pipeline templates, and account/networking standards that feature teams adopt voluntaril y.• Collaborate with embedded infrastructure engineers to identify and eliminate recurring operational friction through self-service capabilitie s.• Manage essential infrastructure operations including AWS Organization hygiene, CI/CD reliability, vendor integrations, and incident respons e.• Mentor engineering teams through regular infrastructure-focused meeting s.• Identify and reduce software development lifecycle friction, minimizing approval gates and manual workflow s. Requiremen ts:• Minimum 8 years experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure with deep expertise in AWS multi-account setups, networking, IAM, and security boundari es.• Expert proficiency with Terraform, including module design, Terraform Cloud at scale, and state manageme nt.• Strong background in CI/CD systems, specifically GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, OIDC, and secret manageme nt.• Experience in platform engineering, delivering internal tools and abstractions that are widely adopt ed.• Preference for enabling teams through tooling rather than gatekeepi ng. Strongly prefer red:• Experience with Cloudflare services at production sc ale.• Familiarity with vendor integrations such as Datadog and JF rog.• Knowledge of cost observability or FinOps tool ing.• Experience working in or alongside embedded/platform engineering mod els. Pay Range and Compensation Pac kage:• Base Pay Range $121,400—$168,00 0 USD• Compensation packages are based on experience, expertise, and location, and may include equity and variable pay.
