Job Summary Acculon Energy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Strategic Buyer to support the launch and scaling of the company’s advanced battery module manufacturing and battery pack assembly operations in Mason, Ohio. This role is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement execution, and supply chain coordination for a broad range of electronic and mechanical battery system components including battery cells, cable assemblies, connectors, fabricated metals, plastics, thermal materials, power electronics, battery trays, and related production materials. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and operations teams to support new product introduction (NPI), supplier development, manufacturing launch activities, and long-term supply chain scalability. Experience with global sourcing, supplier negotiations, and manufacturing supply chains is strongly preferred. Duties & Responsibilities Source and manage domestic and international suppliers for electronic, electrical, and mechanical manufacturing components Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements Coordinate procurement activities to support prototype, pilot, and production manufacturing operations Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively resolve material shortages or supply chain disruptions Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and operations teams to support manufacturing readiness and new product introduction (NPI) efforts Support supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, and ongoing supplier performance management Assist with cost reduction, value engineering, and supply chain optimization initiatives Support inventory planning and material availability to meet production schedules and operational requirements Participate in supplier quality improvement and corrective action initiatives as needed Help establish scalable procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management systems to support company growth Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP and procurement systems Support development of resilient supply chain strategies aligned with domestic manufacturing objectives and operational scalability Required Skills & Qualifications 5–7+ years of sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment Experience sourcing electronic and/or mechanical manufacturing components Strong supplier negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities Understanding of manufacturing operations, material planning, and supply chain management concepts Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software tools Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving manufacturing environment Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams Experience with global sourcing and international supplier management preferred Battery systems, automotive, electronics, industrial equipment, or energy storage industry experience strongly preferred Startup manufacturing or high-growth operational experience preferred Ability to balance strategic sourcing initiatives with day-to-day operational execution Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) 401(k) 4% Match Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Paid parental leave Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
