Senior Trust Officer – Special Needs Trusts Dallas, TX | $130K - $160K + Bonus (Great Upside Oppt.) We’ve partnered with a highly respected boutique fiduciary organization seeking a Senior Trust Officer with meaningful experience in Special Needs Trust administration and complex fiduciary relationships. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong technical trust expertise with exceptional relationship management skills. The role centers around serving as a trusted advisor to beneficiaries, families, caregivers, attorneys, and financial professionals while overseeing a portfolio of Special Needs Trusts and related fiduciary accounts. This environment is intentionally high-touch, collaborative, and relationship-driven — ideal for someone who values quality client interaction over transactional volume. What You’ll Be Doing Serve as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of Special Needs Trusts and fiduciary accounts Administer trusts in accordance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulations Guide families and caregivers through thoughtful distribution decisions while maintaining SSI and Medicaid eligibility considerations Partner closely with beneficiaries, estate planning attorneys, caregivers, CPAs, and financial advisors Interpret trust documents and oversee trust administration workflows with precision and care Coordinate estate settlement and probate-related activities as needed Collaborate with internal operations and investment teams to deliver a seamless client experience Anticipate client needs and provide proactive guidance in sensitive or nuanced situations Contribute to the continued growth of a specialized Special Needs Trust practice What They’re Looking For 7+ years of trust administration and fiduciary experience Strong Special Needs Trust exposure (First Party, Third Party, pooled trusts, etc.) Experience handling estate settlement and/or complex trust administration matters Deep understanding of fiduciary principles, trust operations, and estate workflows Working knowledge of SSI, Medicaid, and public benefit considerations Experience working directly with high-net-worth families, beneficiaries, caregivers, and professional advisors Strong communication and relationship management skills Ability to operate independently within a boutique, client-focused environment Preferred Background CTFA strongly preferred JD, CFP, or CPA highly valued Experience within trust companies, private banks, RIAs, family offices, or boutique fiduciary firms Why This Opportunity Stands Out Specialized and meaningful fiduciary work Boutique, relationship-focused culture High visibility and autonomy Strong compensation + bonus structure Opportunity to make a direct impact on families and beneficiaries Collaborative environment with long-term growth potential MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
