Senior Vice President, Registered Funds Counsel About the Company Rapidly growing FinTech firm Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Registered Funds Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating a variety of agreements with counterparties, including distributors, service providers, fund managers, and various types of funds registered under the 1940 Act. This role involves the drafting and review of offering materials for registered funds, as well as private fund legal documentation. The SVP will also provide assistance with regulatory and compliance matters, particularly those related to the 1933 and 1940 Acts, and will be involved in advising on the legal implications of the company's product and service offerings. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of fund formation experience within the registered fund or mutual fund space, with a strong knowledge of the 1933 and 1940 Acts. Membership in good standing of the New York Bar or another state or jurisdiction is required, and experience with the 1934 Act is a plus. The role demands a professional with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, a willingness to learn in an evolving business environment, and the ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of seeing the big picture. The SVP will also be expected to coordinate the use of outside legal counsel, review materials for SEC and FINRA compliance, and perform ad hoc research projects as needed.
