Job Description We are seeking a proven engineer to join our water team in Rockhampton. In this role, you’ll lead flood modelling and hydrology assessments for projects. You’ll work closely with local councils, state agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes for the Rockhampton region. How you’ll make a difference Work on a variety of projects, delivering flood risk assessment and management studies, hydrological and hydraulic modelling support whilst focusing on technical excellence. High quality technical and non-technical report writing. Exposure to project management responsibilities. Collaborate with a number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors. Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of our Rockhampton team Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. The qualities that help you thrive Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering & RPEQ / CPEng (or working towards/eligible for registration) Experience in the water resources sector and in a consulting environment Demonstrated experience with water resource modelling packages such as TUFLOW, RORB, URBS etc. and experience with GoldSim & GIS software (highly regarded). Working knowledge of ARR2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders at various levels.
