We’re partnering with a highly respected, employee-owned engineering firm seeking a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer | Team Lead to help drive the growth of an established municipal water team in the North Chicago suburbs. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants more than just another project list. You’ll lead meaningful infrastructure work, mentor engineers, influence strategy, and be rewarded through an ownership model where your contribution has real value. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects Oversee treatment, pumping, storage, distribution and collection system work Manage client relationships, schedules, budgets and project delivery Mentor junior engineers and help build team capability Work closely with leadership on growth and future direction of the group Deliver solutions that improve communities and public infrastructure What We’re Looking For Degree qualified in Civil or Environmental Engineering 8+ years of water / wastewater engineering experience PE license (Illinois or ability to obtain) Strong municipal project experience Leadership or mentoring capability Excellent communication and commercial awareness Why This Role Employee-owned business (your success = your reward) Genuine leadership progression Strong pipeline of public-sector projects Supportive, people-first culture High-impact work with visible community value
