Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer receives an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours. Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Experience Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong interest in coffee culture is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous. Experience in the food industry or retail environment is beneficial, particularly in roles involving food preparation or customer service. Basic math skills are required for cash handling and retail math tasks. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is a plus.
