What You’ll Do As a Server / Cashier / Beertender, you’ll play a key role in delivering an unforgettable experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include Providing exceptional guest service with a friendly, positive attitude. Taking orders, running food, and ensuring accuracy with a hospitality-first mindset. Handling cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately. Serving craft beer responsibly and knowledgeably (RBS certification required). Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Navigating busy dining rooms, patios, and stairs with ease during high-volume rushes. Collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth operations and a great guest experience. What We’re Looking For We’re searching for individuals who are passionate, reliable, and ready to bring their A-game. Here’s what we need from you: Required Skills & Qualifications Food handler card (or ability to obtain). RBS certification for alcohol service (California). Strong communication and guest service skills. Team-first mentality and ability to stay calm under pressure. Positive attitude and professional appearance. Preferred Experience & Traits At least 1 year of restaurant or bar experience preferred. Craft beer knowledge or willingness to learn. Experience with Toast POS is a plus. Spanish-speaking skills are a bonus (but not required). Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6–8+ hours). Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including patio service in varying weather conditions. Comfortable navigating stairs, crowded dining rooms, and wet/slippery surfaces. Scheduling Expectations Nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Availability during peak hours is strongly preferred. Flexible scheduling is a plus, but reliability and punctuality are essential. Why Join The Planing Mill?
