Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery of food and beverages. Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while catering to guest preferences. Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations. Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings effectively during busy hours. Skills Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively. Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, hosting/hostess duties, and basic math for cash handling. Knowledge of the food industry trends, wine pairing (if applicable), and upselling strategies to enhance sales opportunities.
