Viking Yacht Service Center , a wholly owned subsidiary of Viking Yacht Company , a world leader in the marine industry, is seeking a dynamic individual for a Service Advisor position.This is a perfect opportunity for someone with marine industry knowledge looking to enter a customer service role in the marine industry! Overview: Solicit, receive, investigate and respond to customer inquiries regarding performance of mechanical, electrical, carpentry and other repairs for yachts and follow the project through completion and delivery, provide expert technical instruction, problem solving support and make recommendations for corrective action.The candidate must possess a marine background with strong customer relations, leadership, organizational, quality control and computer operating skills.A sales background is a plus.Training is provided for the ideal candidate based on the above criteria. Speak with customers by phone, email and in person concerning work to be performed and create work order as necessary. Determine if work is covered by warranty or requires customer payment. Confirm type of payment with owner or owner's representative. Provide recommendations for repairs and new equipment. May troubleshoot systems' problems remotely with owner or owner's representative. Schedule outside qualified service technician and subcontractors to perform work as necessary when unavailability of others to do so. Call customers when necessary and advise on boat availability, equipment delivery, schedule for performance of work, and schedule changes. Continually review and follow-up on work performance and completion schedule. Update and close work orders in a timely manner. Review invoices to ensure billing accuracy against work performed.
