Job Description
Basic Job Purpose: Provide phone support and on-site service support for Duplo USA’s entire graphic arts finishing equipment product line including paper cutters, folders, bookletmakers, spot UV coaters, and more to local and out-of-state end users, dealers and sales staff. Install, repair and maintain equipment to the highest level of operation. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide phone-based technical support and local field service calls for equipment by investigating complaints, troubleshooting, conducting tests, resolving problems and following up. Support new product evaluations and application testing. Document service and installation actions by completing reports, and travel logs. Repair equipment and provide operator training per customers’ needs. In-house machine repairs and modifications as required. Update job knowledge by participating in training opportunities and taking initiative to enhance troubleshooting skills. Provide technical support at tradeshows/open house events. Demonstrate equipment as required. Check and test returned parts. Provide secondary parts lookup and inventory control support. Maintain showroom and equipment readiness. Non-Essential Job Functions/Duties: Assist Parts Department by removing parts from equipment as required Assist Shipping Department in delivering or preparing equipment for new installations and events Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 2 years of equipment service experience preferred Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics Strong oral and written communications skills Professional and prompt customer service skills Excellent analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated, proactive, team player attitude High school diploma and technical degree or equivalent Willing and able to travel domestically as well as internationally. Requires a valid state driver’s license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per company policy for position entails extensive use of personal car while on company business (mileage reimbursement). Physical Demands: Use of both hands, arms and legs repetitively as needed. Ability to use eye-hand coordination as needed. Ability to push or pull and to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. or less as needed. Working Conditions: Professional fast-paced office environment, noise level is usually moderate to high. Work at customer sites, usually in a printshop environment.
