This is where your work makes a difference.At Baxter, we believe every person--regardless of who they are or where they are from--deserves a chance to live a healthy life.It was our founding belief in 1931 and continues to be our guiding principle.We are redefining healthcare delivery to make a greater impact today, tomorrow, and beyond.Our Baxter colleagues are united by our Mission to Save and Sustain Lives.Together, our community is driven by a culture of courage, trust, and collaboration.Every individual is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact.We strive for efficient and effective operations, and we hold each other accountable for delivering exceptional results.Here, you will find more than just a job--you will find purpose and pride.Your role at Baxter The Sanitization Tech is the first point of contact, receiving infusions pumps into the facility for repair.This person receives and unpackages the device, cleans the exterior using approved cleaning solutions and continues sanitization process by following written procedures specific to the product line.This may include automated UV sanitization as well as manual sanitization.What you'll be doing Follow defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable written procedures, review maintenance records and complete all documentation as required and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standard operating procedures and policies, including any department specific requirements.Maintain a continuous flow on the Servicing line, working independently and as part of a team, to achieve process yield results.Receive and unpackage all incoming medical devices and follow procedures to assess proper disposition of medical equipment.Following standard operating procedures, prepare and use chemical solutions to disinfect and sanitize devices, production equipment and the immediate work environment.Operate and monitor UV cleaning equipment and escalate issues as needed.May rotate to other areas such as assembly, repair, packaging, spare parts and test operations, as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.What you'll bring High School diploma or GED required.Previous experience with electro mechanical assembly, repair or testing in an FDA regulated environment is referred.Basic computer skills required.Must have good written and verbal communication skills (English) and the ability to follow written instructions.Must have proficient computer skills with ability to learn new systems, enter data and routinely toggle between various application systems.Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team, demonstrating teamwork and cooperation.Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision, including required documentation needed to maintain compliance.The ability to document data accurately, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Must have good judgement, positive attitude and a high level of initiative.Must be able to regularly work with cleaning and sanitizing solutions such as diluted bleach.Must be able to occasionally handle medical devices that are contaminated with bodily fluids and/or insects.Ability to manually perform basic mathematical calculations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, bending, stretching, grasping and using gross and fine motor manipulation.Must be able to lift up to 36 lbs on a routine basis and up to 42 lbs occasionally.Must be able to use material handling equipment as needed, such as pallet jack and walkie stacker.Work well under tight deadlines WORK ENVIRONMENT Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.This is a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA and many other work rules to prevent damage to the product we manufacture.Some of those work rules include but are not limited to:Wear a static protective smock and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while in the designated work areas.Work in close proximity to other employees.Work in an environment that is temperature and humidity controlled.We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.The rate for this position is $23.95per hour.US Benefits at Baxter (except for Puerto Rico) This is where your well-being matters.Baxter offers comprehensive compensation and benefits packages for eligible roles.Our health and well-being benefits include medical and dental coverage that start on day one, as well as insurance coverage for basic life, accident, short-term and long-term disability, and business travel accident insurance.Financial and retirem
