Job Description
Job Overview We're looking for customer-focused Service Technician to join our team.In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain the products installed by Waunakee Remodeling, ensuring our customers receive prompt and reliable service.You'll work directly with homeowners to assess service needs and partner closely with internal team members to resolve issues efficiently.Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and attention to detail when documenting work performed.Duties Serve as a primary point of contact for customers by assessing service issues and providing clear, courteous communication via phone, email, and in person.Diagnose and complete a wide range of service work, including carpentry, roofing, siding, gutters, skylights, and other small household repairs.Accurately document all work performed by completing clean, detailed, and timely job notes, repair descriptions, and billing paperwork.Coordinate and obtain all required materials to efficiently resolve service issues and complete repairs correctly the first time.Maintain organized and accurate timesheets, clearly noting job names and the type of work completed.Proactively communicate with customers after services are scheduled to confirm details, expectations, and next steps as needed.Provide scheduling and coordination support to the production team for billable service work when required.Follow all safety standards and protocols consistently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, customers, and coworkers.Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required.Required Skills At least 1 year of general construction experience is preferred.Valid driver's license required and a clean driving record required.Work Environment:This role involves the physical activity typical of hands-on construction and service work, including regularly lifting and moving up to 50 lbs independently and up to 90 lbs with assistance, climbing ladders, and safely operating power and hand tools.Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry environments.Personal protective equipment is routinely used to ensure safety when working around noise, heights, and certain materials.The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m., with occasional variations based on job scope and customer needs.Each workday begins and ends at the Waunakee location, with approximately 95% local travel throughout southern Wisconsin.Pay:$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Referral program Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
