Job Description:PMP Personnel Services is partnering with a Northern Michigan manufacturing facility seeking a dependable Service Worker to support cleanliness, maintenance, and overall facility operations.This role is key to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment across production and service areas.If you take pride in keeping things clean, staying active throughout your shift, and supporting a team environment, this is a great opportunity to get started in a stable and hands-on role.What You'll Do As a Service Worker, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and assisting with basic facility upkeep throughout the plant.Key responsibilities include:Sweeping and cleaning floors, including removing oil and stains using proper cleaning solutions Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and lunchrooms; restocking supplies Maintaining cleanliness of shop offices and common areas Emptying trash and collecting recyclable materials Operating floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment as needed Assisting with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs Supporting paint preparation and painting tasks when required Removing snow from walkways during winter months Requisitioning cleaning supplies as needed Following company processes, documentation, and quality standards Assisting the Custodial Service Leader as needed Performing additional duties as assigned These responsibilities help ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational.What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable attendance Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Basic reading and writing skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift (6-7 hours) Frequent lifting and carrying of 10-40 lbs Regular pushing and pulling (including carts with cleaning supplies) Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed Repetitive use of arms and upper body for cleaning tasks Workplace Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Must follow all safety and quality procedures Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning and light maintenance tasks Why Work With PMP Personnel?
