Our well-known client in the technology space is seeking an experienced UX Researcher - Consumer Research Specialist to join their product research team. This role will be in Plano, TX, 40 hours per week, for a one year contract with the opportunity to extend. This role will lead the design, execution, and delivery of primary consumer research, with a strong emphasis on qualitative methodologies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and collaborative partner with a passion for uncovering actionable consumer insights, particularly within consumer electronics. Responsibilities: Design and execute primary consumer research using both qualitative and quantitative methods Lead end to end research efforts, including research design, participant recruiting, interviewing, analysis, and reporting Own the analysis, synthesis, and delivery of research findings and insights to key stakeholders Collaborate with the product research team to define research objectives and scope research projects Synthesize insights from primary, secondary, and public research sources into clear, actionable recommendations Partner closely with internal peers and external research vendors to develop effective research plans and ensure deliverables are actionable and aligned with business needs Conduct competitive analyses by comparing related competitor products and applications for strengths, weaknesses, user perspectives, and opportunities Evaluate new product concepts and usability by testing new features and reviewing UX design documentation Requirements: 5+ years of experience in consumer research with a strong qualitative focus Proficiency with online research and survey platforms Strong communication, interviewing, and analytical skills Bachelor's degree in a related field required Experience in consumer electronics preferred Advanced degree and bilingual English and Korean skills are a plus In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
