Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing systems like OpenTable if applicable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, address any concerns proactively, and ensure a positive dining experience. Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity. Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols consistently to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to manage busy service periods efficiently while maintaining excellent guest relations. Support host/hostess duties when necessary by managing reservations, waiting lists, and guest inquiries. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Experience in culinary preparation or food handling enhances your ability to serve confidently and accurately. Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tables and tasks efficiently during busy hours. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty and positive reviews. Knowledge of OpenTable for reservations management is a plus. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling techniques are required. Experience in serving alcohol responsibly while adhering to food safety regulations is beneficial.
