Shift Lead/Cake Decorator – Great American Cookies (Turtle Creek Mall, Hattiesburg, MS) About Us: At Great American Cookies, we believe in creating smiles—one cookie at a time! Our Turtle Creek Mall location is locally owned and operated, with a focus on teamwork, fun, and providing a sweet experience to every customer. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Shift Lead/Cake Decorator with bakery or cake decorating experience to help lead our team and maintain our high standards of quality and customer service. Position Overview: The Assistant Manager plays a key role in daily operations, staff supervision, and customer satisfaction. This individual will assist the Store Manager with scheduling, training, and ensuring that the bakery runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily store operations, opening/closing, and cash handling Supervise and train team members to meet company standards Decorate cookie cakes and assist with custom orders Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet franchise standards Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment Uphold food safety and sanitation requirements Help drive sales through excellent customer service and suggestive selling Step into leadership role when the Store Manager is off-duty Qualifications: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food service or retail management preferred Bakery or cake decorating experience required Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service attitude and work ethic Dependable, punctual, and organized Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Employee discounts on all products Opportunities for advancement within a growing local business How to Apply: Please submit your resume through Indeed.
