PURPOSE The Shift Lead assists in overseeing and managing restaurant operations while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience and supporting an efficient and profitable business performance during their assigned management shift. Shift Leads provide direction and oversight of restaurant staff under the supervision of salaried management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist GM and/or AGM in training restaurant staff including new hires. Participate in pre-shift meetings. Assist staff in completion of daily tasks. Provide coaching and direction to employees while escalating performance concerns to the GM and/or AGM. Ensure guest satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience. Help resolve minor guest issues in a professional and courteous manner while escalating serious guest complaints to the GM and/or AGM. Support labor efficiency by assisting with floor assignments and labor management with approval from the GM and/or AGM. Oversee shift transitions to ensure smooth team handoffs.
