Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Lead Retail to oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team of retail associates. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining store performance, driving sales, and fostering a positive shopping environment. Duties Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies. Lead, motivate, and develop retail staff through effective training and ongoing coaching. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability. Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting employee orientation sessions. Monitor sales performance, implement sales strategies, and manage pricing to meet store targets. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with budgeting and inventory management to control costs. Maintain organized records of sales, payroll, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe shopping environment. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, retail math, cash handling, and inventory management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks. Experience in employee training & development, team management, and sales management. Knowledge of merchandising, stock replenishment, marketing strategies, and store presentation. Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience retail environment preferred. Skills in negotiation, purchasing decisions, budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative functions are advantageous. A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced setting.
