The Role We're hiring a Shift Lead / Operations Associate to serve as a key cross-functional team member in our production environment. This is not a single-task job — you will move between departments based on where you're needed most. If you thrive in a fast-paced food production environment, take ownership seriously, and work well without constant supervision, this role is for you. You will report directly to the owner and work closely with our production, packing, and office teams. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the quality assurance checkpoint for outgoing orders — inspect packed items for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before they leave the facility Lead or assist the packing team during busy periods, ensuring orders are prepared efficiently and on time Step into the pastry/production team to assist as needed during high-volume periods Provide support to the office manager with administrative tasks, order coordination, or communication as needed Drive the company van to run errands, pick up supplies, or deliver orders to local customers when required Identify bottlenecks or quality issues on the floor and communicate them proactively to the owner What We're Looking For Bilingual (English and Spanish required) Prior experience in food production, bakery, catering, or a similar environment strongly preferred Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early morning hours Self-directed — able to assess what needs to be done and do it without being asked twice Detail-oriented with a genuine sense of quality and pride in finished work Team player who can shift between tasks fluidly and without friction Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record (required for van access) Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one Basic comfort with communication — able to relay information between teams and to the owner clearly What We Offer $17–$19/hour depending on experience Consistent weekday schedule — Monday through Friday, no weekends required Stable, established Houston company with a great reputation and loyal customer base Collaborative team environment — small crew, clear communication, no corporate red tape Opportunity to grow with the business as we expand Schedule Monday – Friday Approximately 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week (More during holiday season) Hours 9:00 am – 4:00 pm unless otherwise specified Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
