Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Lead to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth team performance. The Shift Lead is responsible for supervising team activities, managing food preparation, and ensuring efficient restaurant management to deliver memorable dining experiences. Responsibilities Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting. Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Manage daily operations including POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling and order processing. Supervise inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and quality. Train new staff members on food service protocols, POS usage, and customer interaction techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Oversee shift management activities including scheduling, staff delegation, and maintaining operational flow during busy periods. Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation practices across the restaurant. Assist with budgeting tasks such as labor cost management and waste reduction initiatives to optimize profitability. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Support management in implementing promotional campaigns or special events like catering or banquet services. Experience Proven experience in food service management within casual dining, quick service, or fast food restaurants. Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development, and interviewing skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and order processing. Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management practices. Experience in inventory control, food safety compliance, and budget management within the hospitality industry. Prior involvement in managing restaurant operations during shifts with a focus on customer service excellence. Knowledge of catering, banquet services, or hotel food service environments is a plus. Leadership qualities including effective communication, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to motivate staff under pressure.
