Responsibilities Maintains and ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures, all regulatory agencies, and/or accepted standards of practice and hospital contracts. Facilitates patient admissions and discharges in conjunction with admitting office. Serves as clinical resource for nursing staff. Supervises patient care process. May provide direct patient care until appropriate staff is available. Assists with scheduling appropriate resources to provide quality patient care and/or customer satisfaction on a daily basis. Monitors quality improvement activities in department, makes suggestions for QT teams, recruits staff, and provides support for the teams.
