Shipping and Receiving Clerk

General Responsibilities The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving orders, stocking parts and all other warehouse related activities.He/She reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Job Requirements Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language. Will exhibit a professional appearance at all times. Must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day. Must be capable of lifting and transporting automotive parts weighing 70 pounds or less several times a day. May be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous material. Must have a valid driver's license and have an acceptable safe driving record. Duties A.Primary Duties Check in and scan all parts orders, accurately and efficiently. Check all incoming shipments to ensure they are complete and damage free. Pick all parts orders, accurately and efficiently. Deliver parts to technicians and the body shop. Package and ready parts for delivery to wholesale accounts. Pack and ship outgoing freight shipments. Put parts in stock in the correct bin location. Keep department clean by disposing of cardboard, trash, and conducting general house keeping duties. B.Secondary Duties Participate in Standards of Excellence training program and maintain a minimum level of certified. Assist with perpetual inventory. Maintain a neat orderly work area. C.Miscellaneous Perform all duties in accordance with written company policies and procedures.
