The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is required to receive and store material, supplies, sub-assemblies, and semi/finished inventory as well as the movement of materials within the facility. This role directly reports to the Production Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately prepare customer orders for shipment (Banding; Wrapping; Packaging; Boxing; Palletizing; Etc.) Assist with coordinating LTL-Trucks and UPS (Receiving and Delivery). Diligently & safely load and unload trucks and containers. Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking, and recording materials and supplies. Labeling product for shipment with bill of lading. Verify materials received against purchase orders. Safely transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck. Accurately receive and put away items in proper warehouse locations. Assist with daily cycle count and research inventory discrepancies to identify errors. Maintain inventory records & notify purchasing of low inventory supply. Train and work in various areas of production in response to business needs. Prepare work to be accomplished by pulling parts from shelf and arranging them to be assembled. Use STO (Stock Transport Order) to fulfill customer orders by pulling, labeling, and packaging items to ship to distribution warehouse. Identify product defects and either correct defects or notify supervisor of nonconforming parts. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution. Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement. Additional responsibilities and projects as may be assigned relevant to the position. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES High School Diploma or equivalency, required. Associates degree in related field, preferred EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES Minimum one year of related Material Handling experience, required. Technical background and Inventory / Shipping / Receiving experience, highly preferred. Experience with SAP in an operation-distribution/manufacturing functionality, highly preferred. Exhibit high attention to detail. Able to troubleshoot problems quickly. Maintain a positive attitude and a professional approach to all internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of machines and tools, uses, repair and maintenance required. Knowledge of the raw materials being used is desired. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with proper time management. Exhibit good work habits and willingness to work extended hours to complete a job when required. Demonstrate adaptability to a challenging and developing environment, and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.
