Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory management, and timely shipments. Your expertise in warehouse operations, including the use of warehouse management systems and RF scanners, will help maintain seamless distribution processes. Duties Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying quantities, and documenting deliveries using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications and shipping standards Manage stock levels through accurate stock counting, stocking shelves, and updating inventory records in systems like AS400 or MRP software Conduct order picking and packing for e-commerce orders with precision to ensure timely delivery Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by properly storing products and disposing of packaging materials Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation to support accurate stock management Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar ERP systems, and order fulfillment software (MRP) systems Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; forklift certification is a plus Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with basic math skills for inventory calculations Familiarity with e-commerce logistics processes including picking & packing for online orders Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely while maintaining attention to detail Previous experience in warehouse distribution or stock management roles will be advantageous Join us in delivering excellence through efficient logistics!
