Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Reports To: Purchasing Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Shipping Department Range: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour Summary: Maintain the shipping and receiving department to ensure that inbound and outbound shipping requirements are met by performing the following duties. Ability to work with minimal supervision, able to understand freight instructions and provide department improvement feedback while managing a dynamic freight schedule. In addition, must be able to train others on best practices and troubleshoot and problem solve with minimal or no supervision. This role requires the use of DELMIAWorks - IQMS. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure that boxes, packages and pallets are labeled, shipped and received correctly* Issue raw material and components to manufacturing within the IQMS system* Ensure that the warehouse area is clean and organized* Schedule, load and unload trucks* Communicate freight information internally and externally as required* Maintain scrap material log* Perform and maintain inventory of finished product* Maintain boxes and packaging supplies for warehouse* Cut material and load in dryer as needed* Assist manufacturing* Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three – five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; DELMIAWorks IQMS; UPS and FedEx software.
