Company Overview ISP Millwork is a rapidly growing commercial and residential millwork company located in Ronkonkoma, NY. We specialize in high-end commercial interiors, luxury residential projects, hospitality environments, custom casework, panel systems, wall cladding, reception desks, fixture packages, and specialty fabrication. Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and accountable Shipping Manager to oversee all outgoing deliveries and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products are shipped on time, complete, and damage-free, while coordinating closely with Project Managers and Production. This is a critical position that directly impacts project success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities · Lead and manage daily and weekly shipping and delivery operations to support project and production schedules. Develop and maintain delivery schedules in coordination with Project Managers and Production leadership. Ensure all shipments are aligned with job site readiness, installation sequencing, and project priorities. Optimize routing, truck utilization, and delivery planning to improve efficiency and control costs. Establish and enforce shipment verification procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper labeling. Verify that all required materials, hardware, and components are included prior to shipment. Conduct or oversee quality inspections of materials before release to ensure standards are met. Oversee safe and efficient loading operations, ensuring materials are properly packaged and protected. Implement handling and transport procedures to prevent damage, loss, or site issues. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including packing slips and delivery tickets. Manage warehouse and yard staging operations, ensuring materials are organized, labeled, and job ready. Track inventory movement and outgoing materials to maintain visibility and accountability. Implement controls to prevent material loss, misplacement, or damage. Supervise drivers and shipping personnel, setting expectations and ensuring consistent performance. Assign daily priorities, monitor execution, and hold team members accountable to schedules and standards. Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle condition, inspections, and safe operation. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and address fleet-related issues proactively. Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping-related communication across internal teams. Proactively communicate delivery status, delays, or risks and adjust plans as needed. Resolve delivery, logistics, and job site challenges in real time, taking ownership through completion. Continuously identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, reliability, and overall operational efficiency Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or distribution management. Prior experience in the construction or millwork industry is preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills. Proven ability to manage delivery schedules, workflows, and multiple competing priorities. Experience reading and interpreting shop drawings is a plus. Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Dependable, reliable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities. Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including lifting and working in a warehouse or yard environment. Salary Information To the extent this position is performed in Ronkonkoma, New York, the anticipated annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.
