Description WORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CA FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $20 to $28 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment. Summary The Shipping and Receiving Administrator is responsible for overseeing and achieving the proper shipment and receiving of incoming and outgoing products. This includes the timely staging and shipping of outgoing orders while adhering to safety procedures. The Shipping and Receiving Administrator performs work with a high level of accuracy ensuring that the warehouse, planning, manufacturing, and customer requirements are met. Responsibilities The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. Oversee receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance Reviews of orders for special requests and shipping information Receive incoming shipments. Pull original order(s), match order to incoming shipment and move the products to inventory. Complete RFQ to audit all items received back transportation needs. Audit Bill of Lading to ensure all items received are complete and not damaged or incorrect. Review full cycle accounts in inventory staging area that align all processing counts. Match all original requests, orders, received or shipped products, track late orders with follow-up and documentation, move material to inventory control area, return damaged or incorrect products, document all processes on company computers for record retention, communicate with management on any concerns. Pack products in containers for storage or shipment. Unpack containers for inventory receiving Move material with use of carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift; backfill material shortages for departmental needs Perform cycle count on inventory and resolve count variances on a weekly basis Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities Assembling all incoming PO specifications and creating forecasts with inventory control coordinator rack require Coordinating with QA on all outgoing and incoming shipments quality status Reconciling all discrepancies on goods received and reporting discrepancies to management when needed Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Associate degree or certification in related or equivalent experienceis preferred Must have full knowledge of Hazmat, export compliance and shipping laws 3 + years of experience in similar role within a manufacturing environment Forklift experience and certification Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment Ability to follow verbal and written procedures, good communication skills Willingness to learn, ask questions, and listen to others Quality minded with demonstrated attention to detail Able to work cooperatively on a team Redwire Defense Tech Benefits Matching 401(k) Paid PTO Paid holidays Medical, vision, and dental insurance Group Short-Term & Long-Term Disability HSA and FSA Options Critical Care Plan Accident Care Plan Clearance Requirements This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
