About Us CC Paving & Excavating Inc. is a fast-growing third-generation paving and sitework company serving Central New York since 1958. We take pride in maintaining clean, professional equipment and operating at a high level in both residential and commercial construction. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Hand / Mechanic Helper to assist with maintaining our trucks, paving equipment, and shop facility. Responsibilities Wash and detail trucks, trailers, and equipment Perform general shop cleanup and organization Assist with miscellaneous mechanical repairs and maintenance Grease and service equipment Change oil, filters, fluids, belts, and basic wear items Help load/unload tools and materials Keep yard and shop areas clean and professional Assist mechanics and operators as needed Run for parts and supplies when necessary Help prep trucks and equipment for daily operations Requirements Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and willingness to work Basic mechanical knowledge preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs Comfortable working outdoors and in a shop environment Valid driver’s license required CDL is a plus but not required Experience with construction equipment or trucks is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay Opportunity for advancement Hands-on experience with paving and construction equipment Family-oriented but professional work environment Steady work year-round for the right candidate Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays busy without being told, and wants to grow with a company that is building for the future.
