Job Description We are a growing, established custom fabrication shop with a team of 20 employees looking for a reliable, hard-working Fabrication Shop Laborer to join our team. Unlike massive industrial plants, we offer a tight-knit, collaborative team environment. We specialize in custom decorative metals and high-end architectural fabrication. This is a crucial role inside our shop, responsible for supporting our fabrication processes, assisting machinery operators, and keeping production running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities & Requirements Daily Responsibilities: Shop Support: Assist in the operation of production equipment, including CNC machinery, lathes, waterjets, and lasers. Tool Operation: Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and basic tooling techniques to support daily fabrication needs. Quality & Shipping: Accurately package finished products for shipment, ensuring they meet our high quality control standards before leaving the shop. Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations (sweeping, organizing materials, moving stock). Teamwork: Collaborate closely with welders, fitters, and operators to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Job Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a fabrication shop, factory, or warehouse setting is preferred but not required. Desired Skills: Familiarity with welding processes, press brake machines, and basic hand tools is a strong plus. Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Driver's License: A valid driver’s license is a strong plus (+++). Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a heavy focus on safety and quality control.
