Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Shop Maintenance responsible for preserving the overall condition and functionality of company facilities and equipment. This role performs a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, minor electrical and HVAC support, painting, and general facility repairs. The Shop Maintenance is expected to work both independently and collaboratively while adhering to all applicable health and safety standards. The primary goal of this position is to ensure buildings, equipment, and common operational areas remain safe, functional, and in optimal working condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Perform maintenance on electrical systems (e.g., replace light bulbs, repair outlets, maintain circuit breaker panels) Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and HVAC systems Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality Inspect fire alarm and safety protection systems; coordinate repairs as needed Perform general manual repairs (e.g., fixing locks, replacing windows, basic carpentry work) Conduct pest control activities, including application of approved insecticides Perform general upkeep procedures, including painting and minor landscaping Support facility improvement projects as assigned Assist with maintenance-related budget tracking and inventory of supplies Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and applicable policies Minimum Qualifications Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic systems Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and best practices Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good physical condition and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules as needed High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Qualifications Certificate in HVAC, Building Maintenance Technology, or related field Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification Experience working in an industrial, food production, or airport environment
