Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available, working primarily with a high school student in a 1:1 caseload setting.This role offers an engaging opportunity to provide specialized support in an educational environment, ensuring effective communication for students with hearing impairments.Location:Olympic Valley, CA Job Type:Contract, Full Time Work Hours:35 hours per week Start Date:ASAP until the end of the school year Setting:High School Caseload:1:1 with a high school student Responsibilities:Facilitate clear communication between the student and teachers in classroom settings using sign language interpretation.Ensure the student has equal access to instructional materials and classroom discussions.Collaborate with educational staff to support the student's academic needs.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.Adapt interpreting services to fit various educational and social contexts throughout the school day.Qualifications:Proficiency in American Sign Language with the ability to interpret accurately in an educational setting.Experience working with high school students, ideally supporting those with hearing impairments.Strong understanding of the educational environment and confidentiality requirements.Ability to maintain focus and adapt to a 1:1 caseload over an extended period.Clear communication skills and professionalism.This position offers the chance to make a direct impact on a students educational experience by providing vital communication support.Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their application promptly to start immediately and contribute throughout the remainder of the school year.Compensation for this position ranges from $24.69 to $54.69.Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here.This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.#cjp.
