Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A school district-wide opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter based in Taylorsville, KY.This itinerant position supports students K-12 through both 1:1 and classroom interpreting services, delivered on-site only.The contract runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027.Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students with hearing impairments Support both individual and classroom settings across the district Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate communication and learning outcomes Travel within the district to multiple school locations as required Qualifications:Minimum of three years of relevant experience in sign language interpreting Bachelors degree preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and understanding of educational interpreting protocols Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic school environment Location:Taylorsville, KY, with travel to various district schools as part of the itinerant role Benefits and Compensation:Comprehensive healthcare benefits available Weekly hourly pay range from $30 to $36, commensurate with experience W2 contract position This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced interpreters seeking to contribute to an educational setting serving K-12 students.Candidates who meet the qualifications and are committed to supporting inclusive education are encouraged to apply.#cjp.
