Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support within an elementary school setting in Troutman, NC.This contract role begins April 1, 2026, and runs through May 29, 2026, with the potential to continue into the 2026/2027 school year.The position requires a dedicated professional to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.Responsibilities:Provide high-quality sign language interpreting services for students at Troutman Elementary, supporting effective communication in academic activities.Arrive onsite prior to student arrival each day to prepare for interpreting duties.Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate student learning and inclusion.Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.Qualifications:Licensed Sign Language Interpreter with an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher.Alternatively, candidates holding Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification are eligible.Ability to work onsite exclusively; no voice-over interpreting (TO/VOCO) is permitted.Strong communication skills and reliability in adhering to the school schedule.Location:Troutman Elementary School, Troutman, NC This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an educational environment, supporting students communication needs.Candidates must be committed to on-site work and demonstrate proficiency in sign language interpreting.Apply now to contribute your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter and support student success in this rewarding role.#cjp.
