Site Lead Location: San Diego County, CA Employment Type: Part-Time (with a clear path to Full-Time as the company grows) Compensation: $20 - $25/hour Role Overview The Site Lead is a hands-on field role responsible for executing solar maintenance work alongside the team while providing on-site leadership and direction. The Site Lead works closely with the Site Lead, upholds Dusty's standards for safety and quality, and steps up as the face of the team when engaging with customers. Key Responsibilities Perform solar panel cleaning and maintenance work on commercial and large residential systems Work alongside and support a small field team to complete jobs efficiently and to standard Take on-site leadership responsibility in the absence of the Senior Site Lead Engage professionally with customers when required, representing Dusty's values Follow and enforce all company safety protocols, including PPE usage, fall protection, and electrical hazard procedures Maintain awareness of rooftop, carport, and elevated structure safety requirements at all times Utilize the company CRM to log job updates and relevant notes Adhere to company operating procedures and communicate clearly with the Senior Site Lead Contribute to a positive, team-first job site culture Other duties as necessary and/or assigned Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a field operations, maintenance, trades, or related role Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted Ability to maneuver and transport water tanks via a dolly Comfortable working at heights, including rooftops of residential and commercial buildings Ability to safely climb and descend ladders as a routine part of the job Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Operation of scissor lifts and boom lifts is a requirement of this job; certification training will be provided Reliable, punctual, and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities Team player with a willingness to both lead and follow as the situation requires Capable of professional customer interaction when needed Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment Flexible availability, including occasional weekends as needed OSHA 30 certification preferred; not required — company training will be provided Valid driver's license Compensation & Benefits $20 - $25/hour based on experience Performance-based bonus structure tied to site quality and outcomes Paid sick leave accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked (California state requirement) CalSavers retirement program enrollment Mileage and travel reimbursement per company policy Company-provided safety training and certifications, including OSHA 30 Part-Time to start with a clear path to Full-Time as Dusty's grows How to Apply Send your resume and a brief introduction to Jeff Skladzien, jeff@dustyssolar.com .
