Job Description
Fortis Native Group has an immediate need for a Site Lead in support of our Anniston Army Depot Contract. This position will be 100% on-site. The Site Lead will provide direct oversight to onsite employees on the contract and must display effective leadership and supervision to achieve team cohesion, cooperation, and results – all while monitoring efficiency and productivity remaining fiscally responsible. Description: The Site Lead will be primarily responsible for managing and accomplishing all requirements in support of contract performance including, but not limited to recruiting, hiring, and training skilled staff, maintaining working equipment and vehicles, task order fulfillment, seeking and supervising subcontractors, providing oversite to quality control and on-site safety programs. The Site Lead must have excellent customer support and relationship-building skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of occupational safety standards and best business practices. The following are key responsibilities associated with this position: Creation of staffing and work schedules maintaining properly skilled staffing levels. Training and ensuring certification of new and existing employees on work-related equipment, safety, and best practices. Issue prescribed reports and status summaries to leadership and government officials as contract requires as well as on demand internal reporting. Quality Control, resolve clients' concerns, perform follow-up calls, and conduct inspections for satisfactory job performance. Maintain appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Build effective relationships by meeting regularly with clients and onsite personnel to review the status of various levels of services and institute corrective measures for any deficiencies found. Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors. Seek and secure appropriate subcontractors as needed to complete contractual requirements: provide proper supervision to secured subcontractors and ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements. Create estimates as needed using prescribed forms and procedures. Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years’ experience in the role of a mechanical or logistics supervisor Exceptional knowledge of interpreting and executing contractual requirements. Experience evaluating and hiring personnel. To a lesser degree, possess the skillset to perform minor repairs and necessary maintenance on equipment as needed. Proficient with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project). Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills. Primary place of performance: Anniston, Alabama Required license or certification : Driver's License Preferred skills: Lead Role experience and/or Supervision Project oversite / Leadership Fuels Management and Mechanical understanding of Tire Repair Construction Pay/Benefits: $29.15 hourly plus $5.09 Health and Welfare (monies to be used towards benefits.)
