Site Manager Location: San Diego County, CA Employment Type: Part-Time (with a clear path to Full-Time as the company grows) Compensation: $30 - $35/hour Role Overview The Senior Site Lead is the operational backbone of Dusty's field team. This individual owns accountability for job site performance, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. As the most senior field-level role, the Senior Site Lead sets the standard for safety, quality, and professionalism — leading by example and ensuring every job reflects Dusty's commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Own overall site operations, ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to Dusty's quality standards Lead, direct, and support a team of 1-3 field technicians on-site Serve as the primary point of accountability for job site outcomes and team performance Engage professionally with customers on-site, representing Dusty's with integrity and excellent service Enforce and model all company safety protocols, including fall protection, electrical hazard awareness, and PPE use on rooftops, carports, and elevated structures Communicate clearly and proactively with management regarding site status, issues, and team updates Learn and utilize the company CRM platform to track jobs, notes, and customer information Follow and reinforce company operating protocols and procedures Support training and development of junior team members Maintain a collaborative, ego-free team environment consistent with Dusty's culture Other duties as necessary and/or assigned Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a field operations, maintenance, or trades environment Demonstrated leadership experience managing small teams Strong customer service and professional communication skills Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted Ability to maneuver and transport water tanks via a dolly Comfortable working at heights, including rooftops of residential and commercial buildings Ability to safely climb and descend ladders as a routine part of the job Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Operation of scissor lifts and boom lifts is a requirement of this job; certification training will be provided Highly accountable, self-directed, and solutions-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes Flexible availability, including occasional weekends as needed OSHA 30 certification preferred; not required — company training will be provided Valid driver's license preferred Compensation & Benefits $30 - $35/hour based on experience Performance-based bonus structure tied to site quality and outcomes Paid sick leave accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked (California state requirement) CalSavers retirement program enrollment Mileage and travel reimbursement per company policy Company-provided safety training and certifications, including OSHA 30 Part-Time to start with a clear path to Full-Time as Dusty's grows How to Apply Send your resume and a brief introduction to Jeff Skladzien, jeff@dustyssolar.com .
