As a Site Safety Health Officer/Industrial Hygienist , you will serve as the subject matter expert for occupational and environmental health at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System. Reporting to the Safety and Occupational Health Manager, you will identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards to protect the health and safety of employees and patients across a multi-facility healthcare system that includes hospitals, outreach centers, and mobile units. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the Industrial Hygienist for VAWCHCS, supporting system-wide safety and occupational health operations Identify, evaluate, and control chemical, biological, physical, and radiological hazards in healthcare, laboratory, industrial, construction, and outdoor environments Conduct inspections, exposure monitoring, surveys, and studies related to asbestos, hazardous drugs, ethylene oxide, formaldehyde, mercury, nitrous oxide, hazardous and infectious waste, water quality, and respirator programs Perform industrial hygiene sampling, analyze data, interpret results, and develop recommendations to mitigate occupational health risks Evaluate compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, NRC, ACGIH, Joint Commission, and VA directives and regulations Develop and re
