FLSA Status: Exempt PURPOSE OF JOB Responsible for providing instruction in the area of Skill Trades (Construction Technology, Auto Technology, Auto Collision) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute lesson plans that lead toward student achievement of competencies in the area of Skill Trades. Develop and update, as needed, the curriculum for Skill Trades. Prepare orders for the purchase of supplies, tools, equipment, and instructional materials necessary to support the learning activities of Skill Trades. Maintain inventory, repair records, and ensure the safe and proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment. Maintain an Advisory Board and keep records of meeting notices, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes. Remain informed of new trends, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in Skill Trades. Actively participate in all professional development activities as required by the School District of Kansas City, Missouri. Integrate Career & Technical Student Organization (C.T.S.O.) leadership activities into the program. Perform willingly, other duties as assigned by the Coordinator/Director. Other duties as assigned.
