A Polysomnographic Technician can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.The individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing services in accordance with HHS performance standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the American Academy of Sleep medicine and DNV Qualifications:Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GED BLS Completion of accredited sleep tech training program.If the incumbent is hired without credentials, must either:Elect Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 6 months of hire date, and then become registered by same body within one year of certification, or Become registered/credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 12 months of employment.Failure to obtain registration will lead to termination..
