We are seeking a qualified Small Business Tax & Compliance Training Instructor to teach an in-person training program in Minneapolis for small business owners, entrepreneurs, tax preparers, and professionals interested in small business tax preparation and compliance. Position: Small Business Tax & Compliance Training Instructor Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Format: In person Schedule: Part-time / short-term training program Compensation: Competitive and based on experience Responsibilities The instructor will teach practical sessions on small business tax basics, business income and expenses, bookkeeping and recordkeeping, deductions, payroll tax basics, sales tax awareness, quarterly estimated taxes, tax forms, compliance requirements, IRS and state tax responsibilities, and preparing small business owners for tax filing. The instructor will also provide real-world examples, assignments, templates, and hands-on training to help participants understand how to prepare taxes for themselves, their families, and small businesses. Preferred Qualifications Experience in small business tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, or tax advisory services. Knowledge of IRS requirements, Minnesota tax rules, business deductions, tax forms, and recordkeeping. Experience working with small businesses, entrepreneurs, immigrant communities, or minority-owned businesses. Teaching, coaching, or workshop facilitation experience preferred. CPA, Enrolled Agent, tax preparer, accounting instructor, or bookkeeping experience is a plus. Education Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related field. Relevant professional tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, or small business compliance experience may be considered in place of formal education.
