Small Engine Mechanic

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Mechanic, where you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of small engines and equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including lawn mowers, handheld power equipment, and other types of power equipment. Your mechanical expertise and hands-on skills will ensure our customers' equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose issues accurately using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical testing tools Repair small engines, electrical systems, and other lawn equipment components Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete repairs Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks related to small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems Assist customers with technical questions, provide recommendations for repairs or replacements, and deliver excellent customer service Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky parts and equipment during repairs Qualifications Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar automotive or equipment repair role Dealership experience highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific systems such as Hustler Turf, Exmark and ECHO power equipment or other major manufacturers Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex issues effectively Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and diagnostic tools Experience reading schematics and technical manuals for small engines or heavy machinery Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is advantageous Join us to leverage your mechanical expertise in a vibrant environment where your skills make a real difference!
