This pivotal role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-organized inventory. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance in customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge Manage inventory control through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock rotation to maximize sales opportunities Oversee employee scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal staffing levels Implement effective marketing strategies to promote products and increase store traffic Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and perform retail math calculations for pricing and sales analysis Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, store policies, and legal requirements related to tobacco and other regulated products Experience Proven management experience in retail environments with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and cash handling procedures Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving a broad customer base Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and employee orientation Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, and retail math calculations Experience in recruiting, training & development initiatives, budgeting, and store merchandising is highly valued Prior experience working in a grocery store or specialty retail setting is advantageous Join us at Vs Smoke Emporium as a Smokeshop Manager where your leadership fuels success!
