JOB OVERVIEW Sparky the Brave Books is seeking a Social Media Intern to assist with content creation, audience engagement, and social media growth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, short-form video content, social media trends, and community building. The intern will help create and post daily content including reels, videos, graphics, giveaways, and interactive posts while helping grow the Sparky the Brave brand organically across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on creative position with opportunities to build a portfolio, contribute ideas, and help shape the future of a unique children’s brand centered around wildland firefighting and public education. Responsibilities Create engaging short-form videos and reels for: Instagram Facebook TikTok Design and schedule: 2–3 social media posts per day Stories and interactive content Weekly giveaways, raffles, and audience engagement campaigns Help grow followers organically through: Trending content Hashtag research Audience interaction Community engagement Monitor social media trends and recommend creative content ideas Edit videos using mobile or desktop editing software Write captions and assist with social media copywriting Respond to comments and messages professionally Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style Assist with marketing campaigns for: New book releases Merchandise Events Promotions Community outreach Track engagement and social media performance metrics Desired Skills Passion for social media, content creation, and storytelling Familiarity with: Instagram Reels TikTok Facebook content creation Basic video editing skills using apps such as: CapCut Adobe Premiere Pro Canva Understanding of social media trends and viral content Strong communication and creative thinking skills Ability to work independently and stay organized Graphic design experience is a plus Photography or videography experience is a plus Experience managing business or creator social media accounts is preferred but not required Preferred Qualities Creative and energetic personality Passion for children’s education and storytelling Interest in firefighting, public safety, or outdoor culture Self-motivated and dependable Comfortable appearing on camera occasionally Contact: contact@sparkythebravewff.com Instagram: @sparkythebravewff Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
