Social Media Editor, CGTN Culture (foreign passport holders) This position is based in Beijing and is only open to foreign passport holders Location: Beijing, China Full-time: 12-month contract ABOUT THE JOB CGTN Culture is seeking an experienced social media editor to join its growing team of dedicated and passionate culture reporters, editors and hosts in Beijing. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment. If you consider yourself a positive and energetic person who is committed to the highest standards, we would like to get to know you! Suitable candidates will have the ability to run personal social media accounts; to create content by new angles and fresh viewpoints; to write high-quality scripts in English; and to explore Chinese history and culture. Responsibilities: ● Plan content and prepare appealing visual presentations before shooting ● Cooperate with team members in video shoots, post-production and editing of assigned work ● Work diligently to achieve desired goals ● Collaborate with hosts, reporters and editors ● Develop and show a strong interest in international and Chinese culture, history and tourism through content creation Minimum Qualifications: ● Two years or above relevant experience, including good knowledge of the digital media platforms ● Excellent oral and written English language communication skills ● An eye for detail and ability to produce creative content ● Ability to multitask and work as a team player ● BA degree or above To apply, please send a CV as well as a detailed cover letter with relevant work samples and/ or reels via e-mail to: li.tingting1@cgtn.com We look forward to hearing from you!
